Stay close to everyone you can't afford to lose.
Investors. Advisors. Key hires. Tagup is the AI partner that keeps the relationships that decide whether the company makes it.
- Every investor, advisor, and key hire on one timeline — sorted by who you're drifting from.
- "Catch me up on this partner before the call" — a brief in plain language.
- Every promise to every investor, tracked so the follow-through never slips.
The thirty people who decide your year. One screen.
Each investor, advisor, board member, key hire candidate gets their own profile. Every coffee, every quarterly check-in, every “what’s keeping you up” thread — pinned to the person, not buried in your inbox. Six months in, you remember which partner has the kid at Stanford and which one bought a sailboat. The personal threads that make warm relationships warm. More on People & Timeline →
- Per-person timeline of every interaction since the introduction.
- Personal context you set; never invented by the AI.
- Last-touch date sorted, so the people you’re drifting from surface first.
Find the thing they said at the seed round.
“What did Sequoia say about margins back in the seed?” Tagup searches the meaning across every note, every transcript, every brief from the entire history of the company. Year-old advice surfaces when you actually need it — not when you happen to remember it.
- Search by meaning across every conversation you’ve ever logged.
- Filter to one investor, one advisor, the whole board — your call.
- Surfaces themes you didn’t realize were recurring.
Brief me before every partner meeting.
You have four investor updates to send, two board prep blocks, and a recruit call back-to-back. “Catch me up on Bryan from Greylock.” The Hub gives you the three things he asked for last quarter, the one concern he mentioned in passing, and what you committed to deliver this month. You walk in able to lead with the answer he was hoping for.
- Per-person briefs in plain language, on-demand.
- Surfaces forgotten commitments before the meeting, not after.
- You stay the founder; the Hub is the chief-of-staff equivalent.
Every promise you made to every investor. Tracked.
“Send the model by Friday.” “Intro to the head of engineering.” “Loop me in on the term-sheet language.” Every promise to every investor and advisor becomes a tracked commitment with a due date and a priority. The follow-through is the relationship. Tagup makes the follow-through visible — and unmissable.
- Commitments grouped by named person, sorted by overdue first.
- Recurring follow-ups for the monthly-investor-update cadence.
- Priority so the warm intro to the board candidate doesn’t drown in standup tasks.
Common questions from founders
I’m building two ventures. Can I keep them fully separate?
Tagup is single-account, single-user. Most founders treat each venture as a tag or label inside one account so they can search both libraries. If you need a hard wall — different legal entities, different cap tables — keep two accounts. There’s no admin override either way; your data is yours.
What kinds of conversations is Tagup built for?
One-on-ones. The investor check-in, the advisor session, the candidate call you can’t afford to fumble — each tagup is one conversation with one named person, and everything is built around that: recording approval comes from that person, the transcript distinguishes the two of you, and the next brief is about them. For group settings, pin a quick note to the people who matter afterward — the Hub reads notes the same way it reads transcripts.
Can Tagup keep up with a fundraise?
That’s the season it earns its keep. Every conversation gets logged with its commitments confirmed in one tap; the people you’re drifting from float to the top while you’re heads-down elsewhere; and before the next conversation you ask the Hub to catch you up — what they asked last time, what you promised, what’s still open. When the round closes, the whole sprint stays searchable for the next one.
Do investors have to approve being recorded?
By default, yes — Tagup won’t record anyone who hasn’t approved it. You send the request from their profile; it lands in their email with your name and purpose, and they grant or decline from a sign-in-free page (no Tagup account needed), revocable any time. A decline just means that relationship stays notes-only. The ask itself tends to land well: you’re the founder careful enough to keep an accurate record of commitments.
What happens to investor history if I sell the company or pivot out of the space?
You keep the relationship history. It’s yours — same as a Rolodex. Export it as documents or keep it in Tagup for the next venture (most VC relationships span decades, after all). Deleting the account permanently removes everything.
Can a chief of staff or co-founder share this account?
Tagup is single-user by design — there’s no shared workspace and no role-based access. If a co-founder needs visibility on specific commitments, export the relevant ones. We’re building toward a controlled-share model but won’t ship it until we can guarantee the privacy promise still holds.
